Popovski assumed the post of Advisor to the President of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia for Communications and Policy Making from 2013 to 2017.

Graduated from the Faculty of Law "Iustinianus Primus" at the "St. Cyril and Methodius" University.

In his decades-long journalistic experience, Popovski was part of the editorial policy of the most influential national media in the country, Kanal 5 (2002-2006), Telma (1997-1998), Sitel (1994-1995) and MTV (1987-1995).

He was the author and editor of several political shows: "X/O" and "Labyrinth" on Kanal 5 TV, "Angle" of Telma TV, "Without Title, But With an Occasion" of MTV, "Weekly Afternoon", "Good Morning Macedonia" "Of the Macedonian Radio and Television.

In the period 1997 to 1998, Popovski worked as a columnist in the weekly magazine "Denes", while in the period from 1986 to 1987 he was a journalist in the Skopje section of "Vecer" and "Nova Makedonija".

Popovski participated in many international conferences and prestigious government programs in the United States, the United Kingdom, Norway, Germany, Sweden, including at the "Speak Up" conferences 2011-2013 dedicated to media freedoms in Southeast Europe and Turkey, held in Brussels.

In 2011, he took part in the US Government's Edward R. Murrow Program for Journalists.

In the period 2000 to 2013, Popovski has been a regular guest of the Council of Europe and the European Commission, as a participant in debates on topics related to freedom of the media, human rights, political situations in the region of Southeast Europe.

He attended an educational seminar of Reuters News Agency.

Member of the National European Integration Council of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia (2008-2010).

In the period 2005 to 2010, he served as President of the Association of Journalists of Macedonia, and from 2003 to 2005 held the position of Secretary General of AJM.

In 2002 he won the "Journalist of the Year" award presented by the newspaper "Vecer".
