Prof. Koco Angjushev, Ph.D. - Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, responsible for economic affairs and coordination with the economic sectors

Prof. Kocho Angjushev was appointed as Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs in the Government of the Republic of Macedonia on June 1, 2017.

Born on June 20, 1969 in Veles, where he completes primary and secondary education. In 1992 he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the "St. Cyril and Methodius" University in Skopje, ahead of time, as the best student of generation, with an average grade of 9.36/10, upon which he started working as an Assistant at the same faculty.

In 1995 he completed master studies and received a Master degree at the Institute of Mechanics. Since 1996, he has been a scientific researcher at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Aachen, Federal Republic of Germany, where he prepared his doctoral dissertation titled "The impact of vibration in lever mechanisms and banks on their kinematic features".

In 1998 he received his Ph.D. at the "St. Cyril and Methodius" University, in the field of mechanics and dynamics of machines. After the completion of his doctoral studies, he was elected as an assistant professor and subsequently became a full-time professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Skopje.

In 1999 his work experience as a lecturer extends at the Loughborough University, United Kingdom, as a guest professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, in the area of machine dynamics.

In the period 2000 to 2002, prof. Angjushev holds the position of Assistant General Director for Production and Management in the Electric Power Company of Macedonia (ESM), responsible for organizing the domestic electricity production, investment maintenance of power plants and mines and implementation of projects for their modernization and rehabilitation.

In 2003, he founded and became Chief Executive Officer/CEO of the Fero Invest LLC Group, comprised of companies that are predominantly working in the area of engineering, industry, and energy.

In the period 2004 to 2017, prof. Angjushev is an active member, and subsequently Vice-President of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia. In 2013 he was elected as President of the Macedonian Energy Association, a member of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia, holding this position until 2017.

Author of more than 100 scientific papers published at international and domestic scientific symposiums and journals. Under his leadership, more than 50 projects in the industry were implemented in the area of mechanical engineering and energy. Participated in several tribunes organized by the EBRD and IFC.
