Biography: 

Blagoj Bochvarski was born on January 9, 1985 in Stip. He completed primary and secondary education in his hometown.

He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the "St. Cyril and Methodius" University in Skopje.

He started his professional career in 2011 in the construction company "Pelagonija-Engineering" - Stip as a graduated Engineer Architect. Initially, he was hired as a professional associate, followed by receiving authorizations for design and construction of buildings from the Chamber of Certified Engineers and Architects.

In the parliamentary elections in 2016, Bochvarski was elected a Member of Parliament. He held the parliamentary office until the local elections in 2017.

From November 3, 2017 he was appointed Mayor of the Municipality of Stip, and as mayor, was elected a member of the Management Board of ZELS.

During the mayoral term, he was elected co-chair of the Joint Consultative Committee of North Macedonia with the European Union. Within ZELS, he was elected President of the Commission for Urbanism.

He has been the President of the East Planning Region since 2019.

After the parliamentary elections in 2020, as of August 30, Blagoj Bochvarski was appointed Minister of Transport and Communications in the second term of the Government led by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.

In 2014 he was elected President of the Commission for Transport and Communications of SDSM, and from 2017 to 2019 he was the Vice President of SDSM.

Other significant professional engagements: From 2018 to 2020, as a mayor of the Municipality of Stip, he participated in seven conferences - part of the “Future of Europereload” project, together with six other municipalities from the EU.

He has advanced IT skills and is well acquainted with the Auto Cad and Archi Cad programs. Has a certificate for using the 3DS Max program.

Bochvarski speaks English.
