Borche Petrevski was born on 24 August 1963 in the village of Nova Breznica, Skopje. Graduated in 1987 at the Faculty of Security in Skopje, at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius” - Skopje. In 2010 he obtained his M.A. at the Faculty of Security in Skopje, at the University “St. Kliment Ohridski” - Bitola, where he is currently pursuing a Phd. Petrevski is author of several scientific papers in the field of security, criminalistics and criminology published in yearbooks and scientific journals, and has presented his work at scientific conferences in the country and abroad.
Since 1987, he has been working in the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Macedonia in the Directorate for Security and Counter-Intelligence (1987-2006), in several positions, including Assistant Director for Operations and Coordination, and in the Public Security Bureau (2006-2017), in the field of Forensics.
On August 4, 2017, based on a Government Decision, Borche Petrevski was appointed as the National Coordinator for Countering Violent Extremism and Combating Terrorism.
