A total of 4,535 people were hired in the past 3,5 months through the Employing Macedonia project, Minister of Labour and Social Policy Dime Spasov said Thursday while visiting a Valandovo-based private company.

Spasov said that Doka Textile – which has already utilized the project’s benefits – was a successful and positive example of a Macedonian company that had been using the benefits offered through employment measures in the past few years.

“Over the years this company is growing at a rapid rate increasing the number of its employees. Over 10% of its staff is hired through the employment measured offered by the Labour Ministry and the Employment Agency of Macedonia, i.e. nearly 40 people were employed through the Employing Macedonia project alone, which is yet another indicator of the successfulness of these measures,” Minister Spasov said calling all private companies in the country to follow Doka Textile’s example and stimulate economic development by improving their companies and creating jobs.
