Ministry of Health performs works and duties related to:

• Health care and health insurance for population; 
• Pollution of air, water, land and life products; 
• Organization and development of health; 
• Monitoring of the population’s health; 
• Protection of population from infectious diseases, from hazardous impact of gasses, ionizing radiation, noise, pollution of air, water and land;
• Foodstuff and general use products; 
• Medicines, auxiliary medical assets, medical devices, medical equipment, sanitary appliances and materials; 
• Poisons and narcotic drugs; 
• Performing surveillance under their authority; and 
• Performing other duties as stipulated by Law.
