Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, members of the Government, Skopje Mayor Koce Trajanovski and municipal officials visited the municipality of Studenicani, south of Skopje. The goal of the visit, part of a series of similar trips across the country, was to discuss municipal infrastructure issues and to provide help through the central Government funds.

Asked by the citizens of the village of Morane, Gruevski and Trajanovski said that the Skopje Public Transportation utility will soon provide a direct bus line to the city center. The people from Morane also asked the Minister of Transport and Communications Vlado Misajlovski about building a waste treatment station in the village, as well as ways to improve electricity distribution through the EVN utility.

In the municipal center Studenicani, Gruevski spoke with the Chairman of the municipal Council Kenan Imeri about the infrastructure projects supported both by the Government and the EU led IPA program. Imeri said that funds from the program for rural development are provided to build three important roads for the municipality and work will begin in October.

Gruevski also visited the village of Dolno Kolicani, where Mayor Trajanovski said that in October work will begin to expand the Boris Trajkovski Boulevard in the industrial zone of Usje, which will also improve the commute from Dolno Kolicani to the city center. The villagers also asked for improvements in the water supply.
