Prime Minister Gruevski sends a Chrismas message to all Christian worshippers

Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, in his Christmas message, called on all Orthodox Christians in Macedonia to celebrate in unity and with good will. "The birth of Christ and the symbolism of Christmas sustains the faithful. This day reminds us that the Lord, in his desire to bring man closer to him, decided to himself become human and carry all the failings and sins of the human nature. This is why Christmas is the most beautiful and joyous Christian holiday. Let's celebrate, but also try to repay others with good deeds, a pure thought, love, tolerance and patience", Prime Minister Gruevski writes in his message addressed to Christians and to Archbishop Stefan and members of the Macedonian Orthodox Church.

Gruevski calls on all to have their hearts and homes open to God, his grace and goodness. "Let our prayers bring health, success and plenty to all faithful in the Republic of Macedonia and to Macedonians abroad. May the Lord bring peace and love in all our hearts and his wisdom brings opulence and children to carry forth our name. Christ is born", Gruevski adds in his message.

Macedonian Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas according to the Julian calendar, on January 7th. Gruevski also sent a Christmas message to the Macedonian Evangelical Methodist Church, wishing its head Emil Zaev and all its worshippers joyous holidays.
