Gruevski-Luksic: Macedonia and Montenegro nourish excellent relations
Macedonia and Montenegro have been nourishing excellent relations, being developed in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and Vice-Premier and Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration Igor Luksic, who is paying a one-day visit to Macedonia, agreed on Monday.
Gruevski and Luksic voiced mutual commitment to continuous bolstering of the economic cooperation, trade exchange and ties between the business communities of both countries. They shared opinions about ongoing reforms in both countries, aimed at advancing the possibilities in the all societal spheres and meeting the European standards.
They affirmed the commitment of both countries to join the European and Euro-Atlantic communities, as a foundation for the prosperity of the entire region.
Welcoming the signing of a protocol on collocation of diplomatic-consular offices of Macedonia and Montenegro in Paris, Gruevski and Luksic reviewed the possibilities for this model to be applied in other countries. The talks tackled the options for boosting the cooperation in the sphere of tourism and introducing a regular Skopje-Podgorica flight, as well as the regional infrastructure projects, which are part of the Berlin initiative.
Gruevski and Luksic expressed readiness for and highlighted the benefits of holding a joint government session, which would most likely take place in the course of this year.
