Government remains committed to election promises, pensions and social welfare will rise, says Gruevski
We are committed to the things we have promised and we will remain committed regardless of what is happening and the treacherous attacks we are facing, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski vowed Saturday when asked whether certain projects were planned to be realized, including hikes in pensions and social welfare, considering the grave political crisis in the country.
The government, he said, will remain committed to fulfilling what has been promised in the election campaign.
“I want to emphasise that so far pensions rose approximately by 62% compared to the average pension, and by 70% compared to the minimum pension. There will be yet another increase, just like it has been envisaged in the program. This year the increase will take place in October,” Gruevski said after a promotion of new translated books.
Social welfare will rise by 5% in mid-2015 in line with the government’s program, according to him.
