Gruevski: Macedonia in 2016 to achieve highest GDP growth in Europe
With a GDP growth of 3.8% in 2015, i.e. 3.9% next year, Macedonia will be assume the top spot in whole of Europe according to European Commission analysts. We will keep on improving the business climate in the country by promoting Macedonia’s investment opportunities abroad and by forming contacts and partnerships with investors, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said Wednesday in an address while opening a Anthura B.V plant in Kocani.
According to the World Bank, the Doing Business report, Macedonia is a leader in the region and southeast Europe with respect to doing businesses, stressed Gruevski.
The Macedonian PM also added that the country internationally is ranked 30th out of 189 economies, showing results that are better than 16 EU countries.
“According to the Ease of Doing Business Index, Macedonia is third in the world and by far the best country in the region. Favourable evaluations about our economy and the conditions for running a business recently have been made by all internationally relevant institutions,” PM Gruevski concluded.
