Germany's AEG scanning energy projects to invest in Macedonia
AEG Industrial Engineering Aktiengesellschaft perceives Macedonia as being the main energy center in the region, said Heinrich Otterpohl, CEO of the German company who is part of a delegation visiting Macedonia.
In a meeting with Deputy PM for economic affairs Vladimir Pesevski on Wednesday, Otterpohl praised Macedonia’s investment opportunities saying his company was examining the conditions to invest in energy projects in the country.
The meeting took place after AEG Industrial Engineering three weeks ago had decided to enter Macedonia’s market and open its offices in the country, Pesevski’s cabinet stated in a press release.
At the meeting with AEG officials, Deputy PM Pesevski, deputy economy minister Hristijan Delev and ELEM CEO Dejan Boskovski presented the reforms implemented with regard to business climate and tax policy as well as the country’s strategic energy and investment projects.
“Deputy PM Pesevski has said it was extremely important for Macedonia that a company of this scope, with achievements spanning 128 years, will be present on the Macedonian market and is showing interest to invest here, thus contributing to developing Macedonia’s economy,” said the press release.
