Over 90 events – concerts, plays, poetry readings, and stand up comedies, film screenings, and exhibitions – will be included in the 8th manifestation “Hot Cultural Wave” which will be realized in 30 municipalities in two phases – from July 20 to 31 and from August 20 to 31.

The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture with funds amounting to Denar 4.700.000.

Culture Minister Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska said at Wednesday’s press conference that she is happy about the great interest of the municipalities to be hosts of this event whose main goal is distribution of cultural events in all regions of the country and their availability to Macedonian citizens. Moreover, the second edition of the project "Cultural Summer Cultural Winter" will run in parallel in several tourist municipalities (Resen, Berovo, Krusevo and Dojran).

Kanceska-Milevska said that this year also the national institutions from all sectors are open for cooperation with municipalities in efforts to raise awareness of the culture, to animate the people, especially in small municipalities and to encourage their local development.

Previous editions of these events yielded excellent results. I am convinced that the program contents that will be part of these events and that will be realized together with the local self-government, institutions of culture and our artists, would be an appropriate response to the needs and demands of citizens who are attending the events massively every year, she said, adding that in last seven years, "Hot Cultural Wave" acquired a reputation with the realized more than 700 events, attracting the attention of domestic audience, but also visitors from the region.

Mayors of municipalities where event "Cultural Summer Cultural Winter" takes place also attended the press conference. Resen mayor Gjoko Strezovski said that programme of Prespa Cultural Summer are dispersed on the shore of Prepsa Lake, Pretor, Otesevo and Krani.

The central event of Dojran cultural summer is a three-day "D Festival" which will feature 30 performers. We expect many domestic but also tourists from the region, Dojran mayor Borce Stamov said.

Krusevo mayor Gjorgji Damcevski noted that the school of guitar under the mentorship of Vlatko Stefanovski will also open other numerous events in Krusevo, which is visited for the historical past and its natural beauties.
