Promotion of 10 new volumes of Macedonian literature anthologies, translated in six foreign languages
Ten new volumes of the Government's project for translation of anthologies of Macedonian literary works saw their promotion on Wednesday.
The project, dubbed 'Translation of Macedonian Literary Works in Six Foreign Languages', offers selection of the best works, already published under the edition ''135 Volumes of Macedonian Literature' and translated into English language.
The project, realized by The National University Library 'St. Clement of Ohrid', will publish a total of 48 anthologies of selected Macedonian poetry, short stories, drama, literature for children, literary criticism, essays, novels in French, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Arabian language.
"We bring our culture and rich literary treasury closer to great number of fans of written works beyond Macedonia's borders," Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said at the promotion.
The Government and the Ministry of Culture will keep supporting initiatives for promoting the Macedonian literature abroad, Minister Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska said.
