The restoration St Clement University on Plaosnik archeological site, which is coming to completion, will turn this complex into one of the most popular for tourists, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said Saturday during his working visit to Ohrid region.
The complex will offer various contents and it will really become one of the most attractive tourist venues in Ohrid, Gruevski said, expressing satisfaction with the dynamics of the restoration project.
Tanja Paskali-Buntaseska, Director of the Institute for Protection of the Monuments of Culture and Museum - Ohrid, said the project included six buildings, with the residential building and monastery dormitory being in the final phase of restoration. It is also the case with the Plaosnik Museum, the Center for Humanitarian Sciences and St Clement library, she said.
The restoration project designs have been fully redone in line with the UNESCO recommendations, Paskali-Buntaseska said, adding that a report to that effect was also sent to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
