PM Gruevski extends Rosh Hashanah greetings to Jewish community
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski sent a note of congratulations Sunday to the head of the Jewish community in Macedonia, Berta Romano-Nikolic, and its members on Rosh Hashanah - the Jewish New Year.
The holiday celebrated by the Jewish people on this day is a symbol of new beginnings, acceptance of the past and courageous entering into the unknown future. The anticipation, possibility for turning the dreams into reality and wishes for the upcoming period give us strength to face the every-day life, set our mind and sprit free, letting them to live unburdened by the past. At the same time, the expectations from the future set us to a road that leads to desired results and successes we aspire to. This holiday heralds a profound message, passed down through generations of one nation, which teaches us to always look forward, work hard if we wish for our aspirations to come true, as only then we may be blessed with same happiness, joy and mercy we have awarded others.
