PM Gruevski: Foreign investments in Macedonia's industrial zones to open 3,850 jobs
Foreign companies, investing in building of production facilities in Macedonia's Technical-Industrial Development Zones (TIDZs), should open 3,850 direct employments, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski told reporters on Tuesday.
Eight foreign companies have been active in Macedonia for the last two months. Three of them, Italian 'Diatek', German 'Technical Textiles' and Dubai's 'Apple Land', have already launched their production. Two, German ''ODW Elektrik' and Italian 'Kondevo', kick started the erection of their factories, while other three, US companies 'Key Safety Systems', 'Gentherm' and German 'Mackard', should finalize the construction works and start operating in the upcoming months, Gruevski said.
'Key Safety Systems', 'Gentherm', 'Mackard' and 'Kondevo' will employ a total of 3,850 people by next March. Adding the indirect jobs, the number of employments should reach up to 5,000-6,000 for two year max, the PM said.
