PM Gruevski presents investment opportunities in Huawei
In the framework of the visit to the People's Republic of China, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski paid Thursday a visit to the head offices of global ICT company Huawei.
The company is a leader in the telecommunications market, ranked among the Fortune Global 500 top corporations worldwide.
PM Gruevski, Vice Premier for Economic Affairs Vladimir Pesevski and Deputy-Economy Minister Hristijan Delev met with the company's officials Jim Lu, President of the CEE & Nordic Region, and George Zhang, Country Manager for Huawei Baltic.
Gruevski briefed the Huawei representatives on Macedonia's business environment, the favorable tax package and the openness for attraction of new investments.
Huawei has a liaison office in Skopje, with talks tackling the opportunities for enhanced cooperation and further promotion at the Macedonian market.
Lu said the visit represents a good opportunity for the company to get first-hand information over Macedonia's business environment and potentials at disposal, highlighting the Government's excellent treatment of investors and the readiness for business cooperation.
Huawei officials said the company had plans to spread at new markets and would closely analyse the opportunities at offer.
