Promotion of 12 new titles of three literary projects
Twelve new titles - part of the capital literary editions 'Anthology of World Poetry'; 'Translation of Macedonian Literary Works into Six Foreign Languages' and 'Macedonian Temptations' - were promoted Sunday in Skopje National and University Library 'St Clement of Ohrid'.
The government is wrapping up this year with a new promotion of two volumes of the edition 'Anthology of World Poetry'; seven titles of the 'Translation of Macedonian Literary Works into Six Foreign Languages' and three books of the 'Macedonian Temptations', Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said at the formal ceremony.
Each of these editions has different goal, Gruevski said, pointing out that the 'Anthology of World Poetry' reflects the Government's efforts to bring best international literary works in Macedonia.
The edition 'Translation of Macedonian Literary Works into Six Foreign Languages' on the other hand aims to promote the best Macedonia's literary works worldwide, the PM said.
The 'Anthology of Macedonian Literary Criticism' in Russian language, 'Anthology of Macedonian Literature for Children' in Chinese language and 'Anthology of Macedonian Novel' in Spanish, French and Arabic language were promoted today within this edition.
The edition 'Macedonian Temptations' offers review of Macedonia's past, history, Gruevski said. Today two volumes of the VMRO serial and a book dedicated to Tito and Macedonian issue were promoted within this edition.
The Government will keep investing in the spheres of culture, education and literature, Gruevski said.
At the event, Culture Minister Elizabeta Kancevska Milevska also promoted a catalogue of capital book publishing projects of the Government, the Ministries of Culture and Education.
