Gruevski announces contract for a new investment bringing 200 jobs
In a social media post, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski announced the signing of an agreement with the German Electro-Mechatronic Systems company to open a plant producing LED lights. The plant, Gruevski writes, will provide 200 new jobs.
"With the investment agreement signed yesterday, to restart the Porcelanka plant in Veles with the help of the BRG company, and this new announcements, we have 1.200 new jobs in the pipeline. That's 1.200 people who will receive salaries, have a certain future and a clear perspective for their families. Our vision is coming true, and our plan for opening new jobs, providing an increased living standard and support to the economy is becoming reality", Prime Minister Gruevski writes in the Facebook post. Porcelanka, the failed Veles producers of kitchen utensils, will be restarted by the Indian BRG company in an investment worth 30 million EUR and will focus on steel products.
The contract with the LED producer is set to be signed on Wednesday in the Macedonian Government building.
