Self-employment grants to open 1.000 jobs in 2016
Unemployed persons who have a business idea can apply for grants for self-employment through opening their own small business by the end of January. Aimed at implementation of this measure of self-employment funds amounting to Denar 207 million have been provided for this year which will open 920 small businesses and will create 1.000 jobs.
The measure of self-employment grants has been implemented since 2007 and is one of the most successful employment measures that are implemented by the government. So far, more than 7.700 companies have been established through this measure. Establishment of 920 companies or creating new 1.000 jobs are planned for this year. Funds amounting to Denar 207 million are intended for the establishment of companies and purchase of equipment and materials, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy Dime Spasov told Wednesday’s news conference.
He also explained that the grant also includes training in entrepreneurship skills for developing business ideas/plans and procurement of equipment and materials.
Employment Agency Director Vlatko Popovski informs that over 73% of small businesses which were financed in similar way in 2014 are still active. He underlined that all interested persons may submit requests to all employment centres in the country and get additional information about the conditions on the website www.samovrabotuvanje.mk.
