Pesevski: Only two Government projects employed about 22,000 people for last two years
Vice-Premier for Economic Affairs Vladimir Pesevski held talks Sunday with businessmen and citizens of Kumanovo.
He visited the whole and retail sale company 'Alfi Bi', which employs 60 people, 25 of them persons with disability.
"This is one of the companies taking advantage of the benefits under Law on Employment of Persons with Disability, which have thus far created over 2,000 jobs for these people." Pesevski said.
Numerous projects for increasing the employment rate in Macedonia have been implemented for the last two years, Pesevski said, notifying the program for employing of young people up to 29 years of age and the 'Macedonia Employs' project.
For the last two years about 22,000 people have been employed under these two projects only, which is a solid achievement, Pesevski said.
He also said that a technical-industrial development zone would be opened in Kumanovo, which should initially house at least 4-5 factories. It will be a giant step to creating jobs in Kumanovo, he added.
