Caretaker PM Dimitriev holds yet another meeting with SEC members
The Ministry of Interior Affairs will set up one central and eight local working groups to respond on daily basis to requests of the State Election Commission (SEC) related to the early elections on 5 June, caretaker PM Emil Dimitriev said Thursday after a meeting with members of this body.
The meeting also saw the presence of Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski alternate Deputy Interior Minister Mitko Cavkov, Deputy Interior Minister Zemri Kamili, Deputy Justice Minister Biljana Briskova Boskovski and an official of the Registrar's Office.
After today's meeting I am an optimist that all necessary activities will be completed on time and Macedonia will have fair, credible elections on 5 June, Dimitriev said
SEC told Dimitriev that the cross-checking of databases for filtering of the Voters List would be completed by this weekend, which is to be followed by field data review. I am certain that the field checks will be also wrapped in a reasonable time, the caretaker PM said.
He expressed belief that data cross-referencing and subsequent field checks would wipe off all doubts about the credibility of the electoral roll.
