Stavreski: water treatment plant in Prilep will be open by the end of the year
During a visit to Prilep, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski and Mayor Marjan Risteski went to the construction site of the waste water treatment station, which is being built as part of a program to improve the city's sewage system.
"This station is one of the largest regional projects, that will solve the issue of waste water treatment in Prilep. It is co-funded by the European Union's IPA program and the Government for a total of 26 million EUR. By the end of the year the station will be finished, while reconstruction of 65 kilometers of pipes will be done by early 2017", Stavreski said.
Mayor Risteski said that following the projects to provide Prilep with an improved water supply, this is another program that improves the lives of citizens.
"The remaining project will be to build a recycling plant. With these three projects, Prilep joins the cities the lead in European activities", Risteski said.
While in Prilep, Stavreski will also visit the Triteks textile company that is expanding into a new factory in the regional industrial zone, and will meet with youths interested in the subsidized housing program that will offer 370 locations in the city.
