Caretaker PM Dimitriev meets MEP Petir
Caretaker Prime Minister Emil Dimitriev met Friday with Croatian Member of European Parliament (MEP) Marijana Petir, focusing on Macedonia's European integration, reforms and political developments in the country.
"Dimitriev expressed the Government's commitment to the realization of reforms towards enhancing standards required for European integration. He thanked the European Parliament for its support and cooperation in the reforms' implementation. Moreover, he thanked the EP Friends of Macedonia group, chaired by Petir, for its support".
MEP Petir stressed that bilateral cooperation would resume in all fields over the coming period.
"The meeting also tackled the current political developments in the country, with interlocutors agreeing that the highest democratic principle is for citizens to vote at fair and credible elections".
Dimitriev and Petir also referred to reforms and projects in the sectors of economy and agriculture, aimed at securing Macedonia's economic growth and opening of new jobs.
