Exhibition honoring Mother Teresa opens in Rome
Macedonia honored Mother Teresa in Rome, with an exhibition of photographs and articles opened late Sunday at the San Stanislao church.
The exhibition is organised by Mother Teresa Memorial House in Skopje and Ministry of Culture.
Culture Minister Elizabeta Kanceska Milevska addressing the opening ceremony said that the exhibition represents a small contribution of our country in celebrating the historical act of canonization of Mother Teresa as a saint, MIA reports from Rome.
Today, Mother Teresa with her life and work has entered into the eternal book of saints, she has become an example of faithfully serving to God, a symbol of compassion, kindness and humanity. Today, we are especially proud that our fellow citizen with her legacy reunified well-intentioned people around the world, with a deep and immense respect in her personality and work, recognize hope and faith in the future of humanity, Kanceska Milevska said.
She also said that numerous religious, cultural and scientific events are organised in Macedonia titled 'St Mother Teresa Days' in honor of canonization of Mother Teresa as a saint.
The exhibition includes several sections, the panels illustrating the photographs, documents and narrative text accompanied by the deepest thoughts of Mother Teresa, displays representing her childhood and youth, family and close friends, her Skopje ...
Moreover, a documentary by Vardar Film production house was also screened presenting her merciful mission as well as her hometown Skopje.
The exhibition was attended by numerous guests including President Gjorge Ivanov, PM Emil Dimitriev, Skopje mayor Koce Trajanovski, Metropolitan Pimen of Europe, Alojz Gombar, official of the family of Mother Teresa as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps in Italy.
