Vermont National Guard delegation meets ARM leadership
Macedonian Army (ARM) Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Metodija Velickovski met Monday with a delegation of the Vermont National Guard, led by commander, Major-General Steven Cray.
Discussions focused on ARM's experiences from the management of the migrant crisis and the recent floods.
"Interlocutors highlighted the aspect of organization during crises, management of staff and resources, as well as coordination with other national institutions", the ARM said in a press release.
General Velickovski stressed ARM's excellent cooperation with the Vermont NG through joint participation in peacekeeping operations, joint exercises, training and education of troops.
General Cray said he was proud of the cooperation with ARM, while the friendship built over the years has resulted in partnership.
The Vermont National Guard delegation also met with Defense Minister Zoran Jolevski.
During its visit, the Vermont NG delegation will visit the ARM troops in Skopje and Stip army barracks, as well as attend the opening of the 31. World Military Wrestling Championships.
