New factory in Skopje free zone to open 200 jobs
Domestic company Tehnoplast laid a cornerstone Saturday in the technological-industrial development zone (TIDZ) Skopje 1-Bunardzik for construction of a plant that will open 200 jobs.
The company, manufacturing tools and plastic components for the automotive, electrical and electronic industries, will invest EUR 10 million in this plant. Its entire production is aimed for export to meet the needs of BMW, Audi and Renault brands.
"We are here to launch a construction of yet another new investment in Macedonia. The pleasure is special considering that this time after many foreign, a domestic company has won its place in TIDZ Skopje1 zone," Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitriev said at the ceremony.
Sound policies of the government's economic team have placed Macedonia on the top of European countries in terms of doing business and contributed to opening of many plants and jobs, which substantially cut the unemployment rate, Dimitriev said.
Ruling VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski also attended the ceremony.
