Promotion of four books - part of 'Macedonian Temptations' edition
Four new titles of the capital edition 'Macedonian Temptations' were promoted Wednesday at the Triumphal Arch ' Macedonia' in Skopje.
The new books: 'Ss Cyril and Methodius', 'Pere Toshev', 'Damian Gruev' and 'Most Famous Voivode' - are part of the Government's project, dedicated to individuals and historical events that had left a mark in Macedonia's history.
Under the project, 50 exclusive books are to be published stemming from the documentary films dedicated to significant individuals, events, phenomena and processes of Macedonian history that were broadcast on Macedonian Radio Television.
Each book includes a documentary, enabling readers to comprehend the Macedonia's past and its present-day complexity as a state, Culture Minister Elizabeta Kanceska Milevska said at the promotion.
Therefore, these books are of vital importance to us and the future generations, as they offer facts about the long struggle for Macedonia's independence and statehood, she said.
Actually the 'Macedonian Temptations' is a special pillar of Macedonia's cultural identity on the crossroad of world's civilizations, as well as on today's global political scene, the Culture Minister said.
