New titles promoted within Government's project for translation of 1,000 vocational books
Juvenile delinquency, international private law, philosophy of law, penal law, practice of public relations, history of political ideas are among 17 new titles in the field of legal sciences within Government project "Translation of 1,000 Vocational and Instruction Books", promoted at Skopje-based law faculty "Justinian I" on Monday, bringing the total of translated editions to 544.
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said at the promotion that Macedonian students would be confident in facing challenges at the global labor market by learning from literature used by their peers at Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Sorbonne etc.
"Books' availability in Macedonian language provides our students and professionals with a strong tool in the global competition of knowledge and intellectual breakthrough. This is significant for future generations of students, because I am convinced that their self-confidence will increase and be truly manifested when the international labor market fully opens for our youth. Then they will perceive that their knowledge acquired here is not different from the one of their peers obtained at world's most renowned universities", stressed Gruevski.
According to him, their knowledge would also help Macedonia's economy, when foreign investors require appropriate and well-qualified staff.
Minister of Education and Science Pance Kralev said more books in the field of entrepreneurship and technical sciences would be translated in the coming period.
