PM Zaev meets Italian ambassador Romeo
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev met Friday with Italian Ambassador Carlo Romeo, focusing on Macedonia's Euro-Atlantic future and enhancement of bilateral cooperation.
"We are committed to reforms because this is the path to EU and NATO and quality life for Macedonian citizens", said PM Zaev.
He also announced constructive discussions with political entities and institutions in the country, as well as involvement of experts in the reform process.
Interlocutors agreed that an independent judiciary is one of the key reforms for citizens and the country in general.
"We promised that Macedonia will be a legal state and that justice will be accessible to all. This is in the interest of citizens and I hope for increased awareness and broad support in this regard", said Zaev.
Talks also tackled the preparedness for enhancement of Macedonia-Italy cooperation, especially in the fields of education and economy, Italian investments in Macedonia and transfer of Italian experiences in the development of small and medium enterprises.
Ambassador Romeo said Italy remained Macedonia's friend and staunch supporter of its European integration.
