Dimitrov-Nimetz: Communication at political level needs to strengthen
Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov met Monday with the UN’s Special Representative and Mediator in the negotiations for the name dispute between Macedonia and Greece, Matthew Nimetz and exchanged views on further enhancing the dialogue between the two countries in view of Macedonia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
Dimitrov informed Nimetz on talks with the state and political leaders during his recent visit to Athens.
Dimitrov reiterated the Macedonia’s efforts for further deepening the bilateral relations based on good neighbourliness which is in the interest for the stability and economic development of the region. At the same time he underlined the importance of implementation of confidence-building measures and the need of their further diversification with special focus on interaction among young people.
In this context, the interlocutors emphasized the need of strengthened communication at political level and intensifying the economic exchange and sectoral cooperation.
Dimitrov underlined that new reform-oriented government in the talks with our south neighbour is entering openly without any prejudices and hidden agendas.
