Two years Government - Responsible before the citizens
Economy, investments, employments
- The economy generates a new growth stemming from the growth of the private sector. We took out the economy from the recession we experienced and the minus balance of -1.8% in the second quarter of 2017 with a 3.7% increase in GDP in the fourth quarter of 2018.
- In the past two years, 20 new foreign investments came in the TDI zones and outside, and the level of foreign direct investments in 2018 reached a record of 624.5 million euros, which is 2.6 times higher than the average in the past eight years.
- In 2018, a total of 26,600 new jobs were created and unemployment dropped to a record low of 19.4%. Only in the production facilities of foreign investors are around 1,000 new jobs opened, and according to business plans of companies, the number of new jobs will grow in the following years to around 5,000 new jobs.
- The trend of industrial production growth continues - in the first quarter of 2019, the growth was 8.8% and in 2018 it was 5.4%. This is an indicator of the country's sustainable economic development.
- In 2018, companies at an accelerated pace export their products abroad. According to the State Statistical Office exports increased by 16.8% compared to 2017in 2018.
- Salaries are growing in these two years. The average salary in 2018 increased by 5.9%.
- About 200 dominant domestic companies are supported in 2018 through the Innovation and Technological Development Fund, with some 20,000,000 euros in state aid. These companies have employed or are in the process of employing 800 people with an average salary of over 40,000 denars, which is about 60% above the average salary.
- In 2018, the Employment Agency supported 1191 businesses opened by our citizens with 16.4 million euros who used the self-employment measure. Of these, 509 are under the age of 29, and 450 are women.
- The Ministry of Economy supported 160 companies through the Programme for Competitiveness, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, for which 760,000 Euros were allocated.
- Through the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, 794 investments in companies, farmers and investments in capacities and procurement of equipment through the first call from IPARD 2 have been completed. A total of 424 grants have been granted for the support of young farmers.
More money for the citizens
- The minimum wage increased from 9,000 denars in 2016 to 12,500 denars in 2019
- Higher wages by 10% and 5% in the public sector - higher wages for health, education, nursery, defense, culture, police, public administration employees.
- Pensions increased – the average pension for two years grew by 826 denars
- Inexpensive electricity tariffs introduced - the bills are cheaper by an average of 500-1000 denars per month, citizens save 11.4 million euros annually
- Reduction of VAT for central heating from 18% to 5% - the average saving will be 220 denars per month per family
- Drastic reduction of the fines and the costs for notaries, executors - fines for natural persons are reduced by 75%, and the costs for notaries and executors by 50-90%
- Return of personal tax and 30% cheaper fuel for all farmers
- Significant number of more children will receive an educational and child benefit - the range will grow from 3,000 to 70,000 users
- Social aid grows by more than 300% - a four-member household in social risk will receive a monthly allowance of 10,600 denars, instead of the current 3,029 denars
- Solution to all 10,000 redundant workers from across the country - financial compensation for transition victims
- Higher and timely VAT returns for companies - in 2018 VAT returns with companies are higher by 19.1% compared to 2017.
- On 1 July, the return of 15% of paid VAT to every citizen - the preparations are in the final phase
We are building according to plan
- 25 factories in the technological-industrial development zones and outside of them
- All problems on the Kicevo-Ohrid highway have been solved, it is being built in the length of 57 km
- 4 express roads (Gradsko-Drenovo-Farish, Stip-Krupiste-Kocani, Rankovce-Dlabocica-Kriva Palanka, Stip-Radovish) - total length of 119 km national and regional roads - total length of 375 km (construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation)
- The railway Bitola-Kremenica was built
- The railway Kumanovo - Beljakovce is being built as well as the Beljakovce - Kriva Palanka railroad
- 10 railway stations have been reconstructed, and 2.5 million euros are intended for reconstruction of the railway station in Skopje.
- 216 km of gas pipeline were built throughout the country (Block Station 5-Negotino, Negotino-Bitola, Skopje-Tetovo-Gostivar)
- Over 30 km of water pipelines have been built for over 310 thousand inhabitants, and 83.8 km of water supply are being built for over 176 thousand inhabitants
- A total of 36.9 km of sewers have been built for over 22.5 thousand inhabitants, and 103 km of sewers are being built, for about 49.7 thousand inhabitants. In 2018 we started using 5 wastewater treatment plants in Gevgelija, Strumica, Radovish, Kichevo and Prilep. Construction is underway in another 5 municipalities which covers a total population of 47.000 inhabitants.
- 12 kindergartens were built (Valandovo, Gradsko, Konce, Krivogastani, Kumanovo, Mlado Nagorichane, Pionerski Kumanovo, Plasnica, Probistip, Centar, Caska, Cheshinovo-Obleshevo) and 13 kindergartens will begin functioning by the end of the year.
- Four sports halls have been reconstructed (in Suto Orizari, at UKIM, in dormitory Stiv Naumov, in Veles), and four football stadiums are being reconstructed (Veles, Cegrane, Kisela Voda, Krivogastani).
- 8 fitness zones have been built, and construction of 14 school swimming pools have started. We provided around 1.25 million Euros for the construction of the Housee of sports and the Olympic House on the territory of the Municipality of Aerodrom covering an area of 23,000 square meters
- Four new elementary schools have been built, and two are being built. 8 elementary schools have been reconstructed and built. Three secondary schools have been reconstructed.
- 11 school gyms are put into operation, and 19 are being built.
- Renovations, reconstructions and buildings in the health sector:
- the Clinic for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
- intensive care at Clinic for Neurosurgery
- operating rooms at the TOARILIC Orthopedics Clinic
- departments for digestive surgery
- two gynecological operating rooms in Cair
- health care center and emergency medical assistance in Veles
- transplantation department at the hematology clinic
- the operating block and intensive care at "St. Erasmus "- Ohrid Urgent Center
- emergency center in Kumanovo
- new clinical hospital in Stip
- Reconstruction of 39 police buildings with a total value of over 2 million euros
- Reconstruction of 5 dams ("Pisica" in Probistip, "Mavrovica" in Sveti Nikole, "Slatino" in Debarca, "Dren" in Demir Kapija, "Lipa" in Demir Kapija)
- Construction of 2 new dams ("Konsko" in Gevgelija, "Rechani" in Kocani).
- South Valley - irrigation system for 2,000 hectares of agricultural land irrigation (second phase, EUR 24.3 million)
- Construction and reconstruction of theaters and cultural centers
- Construction of a theater in Strumica
- The reconstruction of the Albanian Theater in Skopje
- Theater and Library in Tetovo
- Turkish Theater in Skopje

From an enslaved country to a bright example
- Friendly relationships with all five neighbors.
- Agreement on Friendship and Good-neighborliness with Bulgaria.
- Prespa Treaty with Greece. We closed a 30-year long dispute, one of the oldest in the region.
- Free and Fair Local Elections in 2017.
- Free and democratic consultative referendum in 2018.
- Crystal clear presidential elections in 2019. For the first time in the history of our country.
- Freedom of the media has improved, we have a jump of 14 places on the World Press Freedom Index.
- The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia holds the first place in terms of transparency in the region. Two years ago we were in the last place.
- The case "inspections in the non-governmental" is closed.
- The country finally has an independent and credible Anti-Corruption Commission.
