Private construction companies see positives in "Buy a House, Buy a Flat" project
Representatives of private construction companies met Thursday with Vice Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski over project "Buy a House, Buy a Flat".
They say it is positive and want to get involved, but believe the application deadline needs to be extended, since time is not sufficient for collection of all documents, accompanied by the unfavorable weather conditions for construction operations.
"The construction companies assessed the project in positive terms, since it would help the construction sector, providing work for these companies, but at the same time selling the apartments or houses they build", said Minister Stavreski after the meeting.
According to representatives of the Macedonian Chambers of Commerce and Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, private companies offer flats in Skopje, which could be included in the project, in several settlements.
"The project is long-term and will be implemented in the next four years, whereas the offer of flats and houses will increase", added FinMin Stavreski.
