Republic of North Macedonia welcomes the extensive US efforts under the leadership of President Trump reflected in its plan for settlement of the Israeli – Palestinian conflict.

The status quo is untenable and it is our hope that this conflict can reach a long-sought negotiated two-state resolution based on the vision to have a more peaceful Middle East.

We call on the leadership of both the Israelis and Palestinians to make use of the created momentum and demonstrate a clear commitment to a negotiated solution of this longstanding conflict.

North Macedonia remains committed for achieving lasting peace and stability in the Middle East: a sustainable and just settlement of the conflict, respecting the legitimate interests of both sides, and taking into account the relevant UN resolutions.
