Macedonia presents tourism potential at ITB Berlin
A governmental delegation, led by Vice-Premier Vladimir Pesevski, presented Macedonia's tourism potential Wednesday at the International Tourism Bourse (ITB) - the world's leading travel trade show, taking place in Berlin on 7-11 March.
Addressing the ITB Buyers' Circle, Pesevski referred to the specifics and potentials of Macedonia's tourism market. He also promoted the favorable conditions, being offered by the Government to foreign tour-operators and investors in tourism and hotel management.
"This year Macedonia has an opportunity to promote its tourist offer at one of the world's leading fairs. We expect to make many contacts that will hopefully attract the attention of foreign tourist agencies," Pesevski said.
ITB is a unique track record, 'made in Berlin'. From the first moderate beginnings with five participating countries in the context of an overseas-import trade show, worldwide success developed since 1966. Exhibition space grew from 580 to 150,000 square meters today. The number of trade visitors rose to over 100,000 from initially 250. With a total of 180,000 visitors, who would like to see the offers of currently over 10,000 exhibitors, ITB Berlin today is a real show-piece of Messe Berlin.
