PM Gruevski meets NATO Admiral Stavridis
NATO membership remains one of Macedonia's top priorities, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski told Tuesday to the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), Admiral James Stavridis.
Gruevski briefed Stavridis on ongoing reforms in line with the EU priorities and standards.
Stavridis extended gratitude to Macedonia on its participation in NATO-led peace missions, saying that its army fully meets the Alliance's standards.
Macedonia and NATO share same values and should keep strengthening their partnership, cooperation, Gruevski and Stavridis concluded.
In regard to the name dispute, imposed by Greece, the PM reaffirmed Macedonia's full commitment to the UN-mediated negotiations and to finding a mutually acceptable solution.
