Vice PM Pesevski meets EU Ambassador Orav
The Vice Premier responsible for economic affairs, Vladimir Pesevski held talks Wednesday with the new Head of the EU mission to Macedonia, Aivo Orav.
Interlocutors discussed government's projects and activities in the field of economy in a bid to improve country's competitiveness, business climate and to attract foreign investments as well as to advance the business cooperation between Macedonia and EU countries.
EU Ambassador Orav welcomed Macedonia's progress in meeting economic criteria for EU full-fledged membership.
The Vice PM vowed that Macedonia would continue vigorously implementing economic reforms. Steady economic cooperation between Macedonia and the EU enables the national economy to be developed in line with Union's standards and priorities. As a result, the government strongly supports country's partnership with the EU and advocates the best experiences and practices in the sphere of economy to be shared, thus enabling the country to integrate into EU's market promptly.
