Macedonia and Albania signed an agreement establishing a joint contact center for police cooperation
Peka and Jankuloska at their joint meeting signed an agreement establishing a joint contact center for police cooperation.
Minister Jankuloska said the center aimed at boosting efficiency in information sharing with an emphasis on international crime.
The center, Jankuloska elaborated, will be opened in Macedonia on Kjafasan border crossing. An equal number of representatives from both countries will be hired.
The document - one of the many bilateral acts signed by the countries in the past 20 years - not only enhances bilateral police cooperation, but it also enables a step forward to be made in meeting EU membership standards related to illegal migration and cross-border crime.
The contact center will focus on data analysis and exchange to evaluate the situation.
