Promotion of 15 medical books - part of project for translation of world university literature

Fifteen books in the field of medicine and related sciences, which are envisaged by the Government-funded project for translation of 1.000 reference books used at top universities worldwide, were promoted Friday at the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje.

Since the project's launching in January of 2009 a total of 557 textbooks have been promoted and distributed.

"These books are being used at the top-ranked universities. They are works of authors, credited with most up-to-date scientific achievements, highly respected and best-payed professors in various spheres of medicine, as well as doctors from the most prominent medical centers in the world. Their expertise and experience may serve to our students, scientists, professors," Gruevski said at the ceremony.

The Government, Gruevski said, will keep investing in the project for overhauling the clinics, hospitals and other public health care institutions.

The Ministers of Education, Science and Health, Pance Kralev and Nikola Todorov also attended the ceremony.
