Reconstructed road section Rastak-Cresevo put into use
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski put into use Saturday 4,5km-long reconstructed road section Rastak-Cresevo, part of Rastak-Singelic road in Gazi Baba municipality.
"This is the new road, which is of enormous significance for the people of Rastak, Bulacani and Cresevo. The new road increases traffic safety, reduces damages to vehicles, accelerates people's transport and enables easier links with the downtown, but also enables the development of populated places in this area", said PM Gruevski.
The road section was reconstructed within the project of the Government and the Agency for State Roads, funded through a European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) loan.
Agency director Natasa Valkanovska said the reconstruction cost Denar 14,25 million (EUR 230,000).
"The Government project is worth EUR 70 million, allocated for the reconstruction of regional roads throughout the country. We have already overhauled 300km-long regional sections", said Valkanovska.
She added the following objectives included the completion of Corridors 8 and 10, construction of new local and regional roads, as well as improvement of the existing ones.
