PM Gruevski holds bilateral talks at sidelines of Ohrid IT event
Premier Nikola Gruevski on Monday at the sidelines of an Ohrid meeting of the Broadband Commission for Digital Development held several meetings with representatives of world-renowned companies and organizations.
PM Gruevski and Hamadoun Touré - Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union - discussed the successful realization of Monday's meeting of the Broadband Commission for Digital Development with an emphasis on Macedonia's measures taken in applying information technologies and broadband Internet being the driving force behind economic and social development.
Gruevski also met with Intel Vice President John Davies for talks on Macedonia's cooperation with the company in applying software in the educational process and on future joint activities in relation to endorsing talented students with interest in creating innovations through information technologies.
At the sidelines of the event in Ohrid, the Macedonian PM met with Giancarlo Innocenzi Botti, the President of Invitalia - Italy's National Agency for Inward Investment Promotion and Enterprise Development, to discuss countries' experiences in attracting foreign investments.
Gruevski held a meeting with Bruno Lanvin, author of the Global Innovation Index, and discussed possibilities for his engagement in policy-making processes to stimulate entrepreneurship and innovation.
