Macedonia ready for further steps in EU accession dialogue: PM
We are fully ready for further steps in the EU high-level accession dialogue. We take the process very seriously, since we see the same commitment from the European Commission, and will do our best to swiftly deliver results expected from Macedonia, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski told reporters Sunday with regards to the dialogue in light of the May visit by Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule.
"The reform process is not slowing down, on the contrary, it is accelerating", stressed Gruevski after the start of construction works for enlargement and reconstruction of a Skopje boulevard.
According to him, there are 35 Government teams with specific tasks, with the ones working on chapters 23 and 24 most engaged at this time.
"Commissioner Fule is coming in May in order to resume the dialogue that was recently launched. In the meantime, we are investing efforts into delivering as much results as we can, so that certain progress is recognized", said Gruevski.
The PM emphasized, however, it is most important that those results benefit Macedonian citizens.
