FinMin Stavreski meets World Bank director Mulyani Indrawati
Vice Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski met Wednesday with World Bank Managing Director Sri Mulyani Indrawati, tackling the financial support amounting to US$ 150 million, which the World Bank will allocate to Macedonia by the year-end.
US$ 50 million are intended for the realization of the second stage of the project for improvement of municipal services, whereas US$ 100 million for improvement of public sector reforms and enhancement of competitiveness, the Finance Ministry said in a press release.
Stavreski and Mulyani Indrawati also referred to the necessity for increased use of IPA funds through World Bank support for Macedonian institutions in the preparation, design, implementation and monitoring of the IPA assistance.
Interlocutors expressed satisfaction from prior cooperation, saying the World Bank is Macedonia's continual and secure partner in the implementation of the country's reforms.
WB director Mulyani Indrawati is also scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, Vice Premier for Economic Affairs Vladimir Pesevski, and Minister of Labor and Social Policy Spiro Ristovski.
