15 new translated books in the field of agriculture, veterinary medicine promoted
Fifteen new scientific books in the field of agriculture and veterinary medicine were promoted Thursday at the "1.000 Books" reading room in Skopje. They are part of the government's project for translation of 1.000 textbooks and scientific books used at top universities in the United States, England, France and Germany.
Including these 15 books, 616 works have been translated, printed and distributed within the project thus far.
"This literature is the strongest weapon with which future generations will fight for better agriculture, increased production, packaging and promotion of agricultural produces and many other segments that are crucial for agriculture," Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said at the promotion.
He called on young people to use these textbooks in the best possible manner.
"As of today, students and educational institutions in the country are richer with new eminent works. Experts in agriculture and veterinary medicine will have the chance to compare whether some parts of our science is at the same level as global scinece and where improvements need to be made," Deputy Agriculture Minister Zoran Konjanovski said.
