Gruevski: To protest is democratic right, people not to succumb to manipulation and someone else's agendas

Everyone has the right to protest, it is a human and democratic right, but one should take care of its own responsibility and not succumb to manipulation and someone else's agendas. Macedonia is a multi-ethnic, multiconfessional country in which we live together now and in the future," Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said Thursday.

"I have nothing against tomorrow's protest, but we must think about the day after. Therefore, I call on the demonstrators to take care of their personal responsibility while speaking out against whatever made them to stage a protest. Each and everyone of us have such accountability in our society. Those who will protest have a personal accountability for their actions, they have to be in line with the law without disrupting the multi-ethnic and multiconfessional coexistence that has been existing here for centuries," Gruevski told reporters.

Asked about the security situation in Macedonia, the PM said that it was being monitored vigilantly.
