A new customs terminal was opened Thursday in Prilep, which is expected to ensure more efficient collection of customs duties in southwestern Macedonia. The opening ceremony was attended by Vice PM and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski and Customs Administration director Vanco Kargov.

The new customs terminal in Prilep aims at developing the economy in southwestern Macedonia and a step toward resuming the cooperation between local and central authorities, according to Stavreski.

"No new jobs will be created without successful economy, entrepreneurs and favourable conditions for firms. The new customs terminal was opened in order to improve the conditions for firms in Prilep to be able to collect customs duties on goods intended for export," Stavreski stated.

He underlined that the government's cooperation with local authorities was key in economy's development.
