Local road Taor-Rzanicino set into work

Three kilometres long and five meters wide local road Taor-Rzanicino connecting the municipalities of Petrovec and Zelenikovo, has been set into work on Saturday.

The opening ceremony of the road was attended by PM Nikola Gruevski, Director of State Roads Ljupco Georgievski and mayors of municipalities Petrovec and Zelenikovo, Borce Mitevski and Vele Gruevski respectively.

PM Gruevski said that government's strategy for long-term development of the country includes numerous projects for construction, reconstruction and revitalisation of many regional local roads, which are of essential importance for the economy, and life of the citizens.

Gruevski reminded on already realised infrastructural projects as Pterovec-Ognjanci-Susica road, Stanica-Zelenikovo-Pakosevo-Novo Selo road and road from Katlanovo to Badar and he announced that similar projects will be carried out in the future.

Director of State Roads Ljupco Georgievski said that the project is worth Denar 34,6 million and is part of the programme for reconstruction of regional and local roads, which Government will realise in full by 2013.

- The realisation of the project is a good example for inter-municipal cooperation and a good indicator for successful cooperation between the local self-government and the Government, Georgievski said.

Mayor Mitevski said that opening of this road is of great importance for the citizens of these two municipalities and the surrounding populated areas.

Mayor Gruevski said that the road will provide better communication with city of Skopje, Alexander the Great Airport and E-75 highway to the citizens of Zelenikovo.
