PM Gruevski meets CCPIT president Jifei

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski met Monday in Beijing with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) President Wan Jifei.

Interlocutors referred to the excellent bilateral political relations, as well as the commitment for intensification of economic cooperation, highlighting the possibilities for Chinese investments in Macedonia.

PM Gruevski presented the benefits and opportunities for doing business in Macedonia, including the Government's support for companies deciding to invest in the country.

CCPIT President Jifei positively assessed the Government's measures and activities for promotion of economic interests and support to investments through low taxes and tax exemptions, benefits in technical-industrial development zones etc. He expressed serious interest for enhancement of cooperation, along with additional commercial and technical analyses over certain projects.

Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion Visar Fida and CCPIT President Jifei signed a cooperation memorandum between the two institutions, aimed at enhancing communication, cooperation, experience exchange among commercial entities, as well as enlargement of cooperation in all fields of mutual interest between the two institutions.

PM Gruevski, Vice Premier for Economic Affairs Vladimir Pesevski, Minister for Attraction of Foreign Investments Vele Samak, and Director of Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion Visar Fida will attend a business forum hosted by CCPIT later in the day.
