Agriculture minister Dimovski meets with Israeli counterpart Landau

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ljupco Dimovski met with the Israeli Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Uzi Landau in the course of his working visit to Israel.

Talks focused on the countries' cooperation involving rational use of water given the fact that Macedonia is abundant with water, but it needs to learn how to use it economically and wisely, the Agriculture Ministry said in a press release.

"As a result of climate changes, several regions in Macedonia are severely hit and there is a lack of water in the summer. Consequently, Macedonia needs to learn from Israel how to save water," stated the press release.

Minister Uzi Landau invited his Macedonian counterpart to visit Israel again and to discuss ways to cooperate in relation to water and irrigation.

During his visit to Israel, minister Dimovski met with representatives of several companies, including AMIAD Corp, a company that produces water filtration systems, METZERPLAS company for irrigation systems and NaanDanJain Irrigation Ltd. - the leading global producer and provider of tailor-made irrigation solutions.
